The Audio-Technica corporation headquartered in Machida (Tokyo Prefecture/Japan) was founded in 1962 by Hideo Matsushita. The company, which has become known through the production of high-quality pickups, today also manufactures a number of other audio products (headphones, microphones, etc.) for both professional and consumer applications.
Austrian Audio emerged in 2017 from the Vienna office of the renowned Austrian company AKG (Akustische und Kino-Geräte). After its closure, a core team of 22 former employees from a wide variety of company sectors (management, acoustics, electronics, test and measurement, mechanical design, RF/wireless, as well as software and firmware) took over the legacy of this traditional company in order to lead it into a successful future.
Huntingdon-based Quad Electroacoustics is a traditional British company that produces high quality hi-fi products. Since 1997, the company belongs to the International Audio Group (IAG), whose portfolio also includes, for example, Wharfedale, audiolab or Luxman.
