Preamplifier, DAC and HighRes network player with superb sound qualities, equipped with Auralics excellent Femto Master Clock and integrated Purer-Power(TM) linear power supply. As operating software AURALICs outstanding Lightning DS app (for iOS, from iPad 2nd generation) is provided. Lightning DS integrates the streaming services TIDAL and Qobuz and also provides an Internet radio feature. Interfaces for Airplay, Songcast and Bluetooth allow access to additional music sources. The ALTAIR is also recognized as Roon endpoint. Through the optional installation of a 2.5 "HDD or SSD the device can be used as a full-fledged music server.
The ALTAIR has an OLED display with a resolution of 512 x 64 pixels for status information and an additional remote control (RC AURALiC-1) for basic functions such as play, pause and skip track. On the front side is a headphone output. As digital inputs are tri-band high-speed WiFi (802.11b/g/n/ac), Gigabit Ethernet, 3x USB, coaxial and optical S/PDIF connectors and an AES/EBU interface are available. USB and streaming can process PCM formats from 44.1 to 384kHz at 16, 24 and 32bit resolution and DSD64 - DSD256. The other digital inputs are limited on max. 24bit/192kHz.
