Latest version (May 2021) of the successful HighRes network player! The Limetree Bridge II is a purely digital audio streamer that can be easily integrated into existing music systems via LAN, WLAN or Bluetooth (DLNA/UPnP). In addition, audio data of the storage media connected there (USB sticks, USB hard disks) can be read out via a USB port. The device is ROON Ready and allows online streaming through a variety of music services such as TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, podcast or web radio. Integration of external CD drives (e.g. Apple SuperDrive) via USB is possible. The device is controlled via the powerful LINDEMANN app (iOS/Android).
The changes/innovations at a glance:
- The output sample rate limit can be set in three stages: 48 kHz/96 kHz/192 kHz.
- Two re-sampling modes: native and up-sampling. With Native, the input sample rate is not changed or is divided by 2 or 4 (depending on the setting of the maximum sample rate). With up-sampling, the input sample rate is extrapolated to the maximum possible value, i.e. multiplied by 1, 2 or 4.
- There is no support for DSD data. If you want to convert DSD files to PCM, this should already be done in the playback program (e.g. Roon, Audirvana, J. River and others).
